Reclaim & Reuse

Overview

Advanced Treatment. Measurable Results.

Water that would traditionally be discharged can often be recovered, conditioned, and reused. Vortex Water Solutions' Effluent Recovery & Reuse System (E.R.R.S.) helps vehicle wash, industrial, and municipal facilities reduce freshwater consumption, lower discharge volumes, and improve operational efficiency through advanced non-chemical water treatment.

By combining Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation (CHC), multi-stage filtration, nano-bubble technology, and polishing processes, E.R.R.S. conditions wastewater streams for reliable non-potable reuse or improved discharge quality.

The result: reclaimed water you can reuse with confidence, while reducing freshwater demand, discharge volumes, and chemical dependency.

How Water Reclaim & Reuse Works

About Vehicle Wash Reclaim

(Wash Effluent + RO Reject + Softener Regeneration)

Vehicle wash operations generate multiple internal water streams that are traditionally discharged or only partially reused. The Vortex Effluent Recovery & Reuse System (E.R.R.S.) captures and conditions these streams for reliable onsite reuse, integrating with existing reclaim infrastructure.
Common REclaimed Water Sources
  • Wash effluent captured from the wash-bay trench and underground reclaim tanks
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) reject water generated during spot-free production
  • Water softener regeneration rinse water
Through hydrodynamic cavitation, integrated filtration, and water-quality management, effluent is conditioned for onsite non-potable reuse or cleaner discharge, helping facilities reduce overall freshwater demand and operational waste.
About Industrial Water Reuse

The same E.R.R.S. treatment architecture is applied to industrial and municipal effluent streams where blowdown, bleed, or process water would otherwise be discharged.

Common Industrial Water Sources
  • Cooling tower blowdown
  • Industrial process water discharge
  • Equipment washdown water
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) discharge
  • Non-potable municipal effluent streams
Captured effluent is treated using Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation combined with multi-stage mechanical filtration, nano-bubble treatment, and media polishing. This helps reduce suspended solids, manage dissolved gases, support bacteria control, and stabilize reclaimed water quality before it is returned for reuse within the wash process.

Key Features

Key Features & Benefits

Vehicle Wash Reclaim
For vehicle wash operators, reclaim performance directly impacts water cost, uptime, system fatigue and consistency of wash quality. E.R.R.S. is positioned to support these priorities by enabling:
  • Reduced freshwater demand by reclaiming wash effluent, RO reject, and softener regeneration water for internal reuse
  • Lower sewer and discharge volumes, easing strain on municipal or onsite septic systems
  • Improved reclaimed water quality consistency, supporting stable wash and rinse operations without dependence on heavy chemical treatment
  • Operational reliability through mechanical filtration, backwashing media, and GAC polishing designed for high solids wash environments and Advanced Oxidation Technology when required
Industrial & Municipal Reclaim
For industrial and municipal users, E.R.R.S. extends similar benefits across larger and more varied effluent streams, including:
  • Reduced discharge volumes and regulatory compliance burden by conditioning effluent prior to reuse or disposal
  • Lower operational costs through reused water and reduced dependence on continuous chemical treatment programs
  • Extended equipment life by controlling solids loading, dissolved gases, and water quality instability
