Overview
Vortex Water Solutions' Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation is a Non-Chemical, or Mechanical, water treatment system.
Our technology consists of a process loop where process or effluent water streams undergo our patented Controlled HDC process.
At the point of discharge, the two opposing water streams (whose internal rotation is opposite from one another) collide, creating hydrodynamic cavitation or microjets with high shear force, and vacuum.
This sudden lowering of pressure into a vacuum state forces the release of dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) from the water. This release of CO2 in turn causes calcium carbonate to immediately drop out of solution into suspension where it is removed by filtration.
HOW IT WORKS
Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation (CHC) is a mechanical water treatment process that stabilizes water without chemicals.
The process allows water to be treated using energy and flow dynamics, rather than chemical dosing.
Key Features
Non-chemical treatment systems designed for demanding industrial and municipal applications.
Condition reclaimed water for consistent reuse while reducing freshwater demand, discharge volumes, and chemical dependency.
Learn More
Non-chemical water treatment that prevents fouling and scaling at the source, helping heat exchange equipment operate at peak efficiency for much longer.
Learn More
Improve wastewater treatability by reducing biological activity, organics, and particle size ahead of filtration, biological, or polishing systems.
Learn More
Stabilize gray water quality to control odor, biological growth, and suspended solids — allowing for safe on-site reuse without complex chemical programs.
Learn More
Non-chemical conditioning that improves produced water handling, reuse, or disposal reliability in harsh and highly variable environments.
