Indoor Air Quality Management
Good indoor air quality is a critical element for schools and hospitals in particular. A healthy environment is a prospering environment. Having a healthy HVAC system is important. The primary cause of indoor air quality problems are indoor pollution sources that release gases or particles into the air. Adequate ventilation is critical to reduce both indoor and outdoor pollutants. High temperature and humidity levels can also increase concentrations of some pollutants.
According to the American Lung Association, asthma episodes can be triggered by poor indoor air quality along with a multitude of other health related problems. For these reasons, maintenance of indoor air quality is more than just a quality issue—it’s a health and safety issue.
Make sure your HVAC system is up to standards and is adhering to routine maintenance. Check and clean your air filters.
