Building Automation Integration

It is important to understand your communication requiremtns for your system within the facility.

The VRTX Control Station (VCS) utilizes a PLC that allows communications to meet
many different needs. From a simple interface that closes or opens a relay upon an alarm
condition to an interface that can send or display system information to a variety of
systems.

The VCS comes standard with a dry relay that can be programmed for a Normally Open
or Normally Closed alarm indication. This relay can be wired directly into an existing
building automation system to alert the system to an alarm condition or can be wired
directly to an indicator light for quick reference.

The VCS also comes standard with a serial interface that can communicate via ASCI or
Modbus RTU over RS232 or RS485 levels. (Modbus Specification attached)
Optional interfaces can be added to the system to allow communication with other PLCs,
building automation systems (Bacnet IP, or Mod  bus IP), Ethernet IP (With Embedded
Web Servers), or even a cell based Remote Monitoring system.
